How To Clear Unpinned Documents From Office 2016 For Mac

After upgrading to office 2016, I now have a list of 'Recent Items' under the attachment button. According to the 'help' for outlook 2016, I can adjust the number displayed in settings by the following steps: File-Options-Advanced-Display: change the value in 'Show this number of Recent Documents' unfortunately when I follow these steps, the only option available under Display is 'Disable hardware graphics acceleration' Since I will NEVER attach a 'recent item' to a new email and I will always need to browse to a specific location for a file, I need to be able to set this value to zero. Hi Rick, If you want to learn you can read here: If you want the easy way, I uploaded the Registry values in a file. Just need to download it and run it and merge it in ( Answering Yes ) Select 'Download through your Browser' when you have the option on the Mega Site. Good luck Just remember this will disable the recent items, if you want to show like 5 you need to edit the Registry file and change the value to 5. And mark it as answer if it helped;).

I set the Value to 1 just so I dont forget I changed it. Checked and it shows only 1 recent item so it worked perfectly. The original reason I wanted to turn it off was because while using the feature I had numerous occasions where the item would show it was attached but when I sent it, it actually did not attach to the message. Browsing and attaching never had the issue only with the recent function. Also the recent list was way too long. For those that do not know how to edit the registry two things. Number one is backup your computer before you touch the registry!

You can really screw things up if you accidently deleted or modify anything there and it is very easy to do if you are not careful. Secondly to access the area in question type: regedit into your search bar by the start menu and it will pull up the editor.
